Dental hygiene tips for healthy teeth & gums

Can you take Invisalign out?

Invisalign is one of the most popular orthodontic treatments, and rightly so. The success rate is impressive; the aligners are aesthetically pleasing, which has encouraged more people to opt for these clear aligners.

Why is Invisalign a good option?

If you are new to Invisalign, you will know that these trays are the best alternatives to traditional braces. The aligners are made to fit your teeth and stay on the teeth for 20 to 22 hours. Invisalign does not cause as much discomfort as the traditional braces and is discreet enough to stay unnoticeable. In addition, they are easy to put in or take off.

The first few days with Invisalign can be slightly uncomfortable, but the journey is smooth when you progress forward. The results can take between 6 and 18 months, depending on the degree of teeth misalignment.

Can I remove Invisalign?

To remove aligners, place your fingertip on the side of your back molar on one side of your mouth and slowly peel the aligner away from your molars. Before attempting to remove the aligner entirely, repeat the technique on the other side of your mouth.

You should be able to progressively work your way forward with your fingertips to remove the tray entirely once the aligner is freed from the molars on both sides.
